The band sings, “Show me the meaning of winning scratch-offs.” We say, show me the power of boy band nostalgia. When GKV brought the Scratch-Off Boys out of “retirement” on behalf of the Maryland Lottery, generations fell in love with the campaign for the new Show Me Scratch-Offs. Popular Culture is called that for a reason, and tapping into its power is a pretty sure way to connect with the passions of your audience. Is there is a bit of whimsy to middle-aged men singing and dancing like they did back in the day? Sure. But they still got “it.” And “it” still sells.
